Boards and Commissions
Function
The City of Cedar Park utilizes the services of several specialized boards and commissions made up of citizen volunteers. These groups are responsible for a variety of functions, including parks & recreation, planning & zoning, tourism and more. Most boards and commissions meet monthly to discuss various projects, events, programs and other pertinent issues. Often the recommendations of the boards and commissions are presented to the City Council for final approval or adoption.
Volunteering

The City of Cedar Park relies on the energy and community oriented citizens of the City. Without the help of committed citizens the City would not be able to function. Each Board and Commission plays a vital and significant role and helps to keep Cedar Park vital, responsive and responsible. This commitment is reflected in the service the citizens provide by serving on these various boards. These citizens who serve on these various boards volunteer the time necessary to improve the quality of life for everyone in Cedar Park.
