Don Tracy was elected to Place 6 on the Cedar Park City Council in June 2010. Before serving on Council, he was a member of the Cedar Park 4A Economic Development Board. As a member of Council, Don currently serves on the Science Center Task Force, the Website Redesign Project team, and on the Tax Increment Reinvestment Zone #1 board.

For nearly 14 years, Don has worked in Central Texas as a human resource management and workforce education professional, where he has led collaborative, community-wide and state-wide skills development initiatives focused on training workers in high-growth, high-opportunity industry clusters. He currently works for Austin Community College, where he is managing and participating in multiple special projects across the college, including the development and update of continuing education training programs and marketing communication initiatives, supporting a college-wide faculty credentials review effort in advance of an upcoming accreditation audit, and directing a National Science Foundation planning grant team in the design of an Advanced Technological Education Center to support energy-sector technician training and development across the community college system in Texas.

Don graduated from Texas A&M University with a BA in Political Science, from Georgetown University with an MA in Russian Area Studies, and holds national certification as a Senior Professional in Human Resources. He has resided in Cedar Park for nearly ten years and is an active member of New Hope First Baptist Church, where he currently serves as a Sunday school teacher and as a member of the Mission Leadership Team, the Discipleship Ministry Team, and the Church Nominations Committee.
