Library Cards
The Cedar Park Public Library is a department of the City of Cedar Park. Library cards are available without additional charge to Cedar Park residents inside the taxing districts by presenting a current photo ID and proof of current address. Non-residents may purchase a library card for $35.00 for one year or $20.00 for six months. The Library charges $2.00 for replacement of lost library cards. Resident and non-resident cards expire every six months or one year, as appropriate.
To apply for a card, present a completed application to a circulation staff member along with a valid photo ID and proof of your current address. Acceptable forms of photo ID include: driver’s license, Texas Department of Public Safety ID, U.S. passport, resident alien registration card or military, college or employee ID. Acceptable proofs of address include: any of the above if address is current, a personalized check, bank statement, recent billing statement, voter registration card, vehicle registration or liability insurance, official rent receipt, rental agreement or other housing contract.
A library card is issued to you individually and should be treated with as much care as a credit card. You are responsible for all materials checked out or “charged” on your card. If you lend your card to someone else, you are still responsible for the materials checked out on your card. If your card is lost or stolen, notify the Library immediately so the number can be invalidated. You should notify the Library of any changes in residence address or telephone number.
