Where is the Animal Shelter located?
The City of Cedar Park partners with the Williamson County Regional Animal Shelter. The Regional Shelter is located at 1855 S.E. Inner Loop Georgetown, Texas 78626 and can be contacted at (512) 943-3322.

How much does it cost to reclaim an impounded animal?
Inquiries for fees can be made by contacting the Williamson County Regional Animal Shelter.
How do I register my animal with the city?
Animal licenses can be purchased at the City Shelter for $5 annually for a spayed/neutered pet and $10 annually for all others with proof of current rabies vaccination.
What are your hours?
Our operating hours are 8:00 A.M. to 5:00 P.M. Monday through Friday and closed on all City Holidays
Whom do I call if I have an Animal Control problem after your normal hours?
You can call the Police Department 260-4600 or 911 for an emergency such as a bite to a human or a sick / injured animal and a patrol officer will respond. We also have “on call” Animal Control Officers that respond to emergencies.
Who picks up dead animals in the city?
Animal Control picks up dead animals on the city streets. Dead animals on the highway are picked up by Texas Department of Transportation.
Whom do I call to find out if livestock is permitted in my neighborhood?
Since this is a zoning issue, it is a question best answered by the Planning Department.
What do I do if an animal bites a person or another animal?
All animal bites or scratches must be reported to Animal Control as soon as possible. An Animal Control Officer will then investigate the bite, and will quarantine or test the animal to insure it was not able to transmit rabies.
Who responds to Animal Control complaints in the Cedar Park ETJ?
Your local Sheriff’s Department has Animal Control that services the Cedar Park ETJ.

Does the city handle wildlife problems?
Yes, the city does provide education/impoundment/removal of some native wildlife and exotic animals. However, citizens with a rodent or insect problem will need to contact a pest control service or contact Wildlife Rescue with wildlife questions or concerns.
What services does animal control provide?
Animal Control provides service for the incorporated city limits of Cedar Park only.
