Wildlife Information
Cedar Park has a large population of wildlife. Commonly seen in this area are bats, opossums, raccoons, squirrels, skunks, snakes, and coyotes. If anyone discovers a wild animal that is sick, injured, or in your home contact Animal Control Office immediately.

Safety Tips:

  • The public should use caution with any wild animal and should not attempt to catch or pick up the animal.
  • Trapping healthy wildlife is discouraged since many animals are difficult to catch and can be dangerous. Preventative measures have proven to be safer and more effective.
  • If a wild animal is discovered in your home do not attempt to approach it or capture it. If the animal is visible contact Animal Control and if not visible a professional pest control company will need to be contacted.
